The gift of nature
As Europe’s largest 250-hectare walnut orchard in Lengyeltóti, in the heart of Hungary, was cleared for replanting, we have carefully preserved and given a new lease of life to the walnut wood harvested from the orchard as well as secured its future. The founders of ArtMoon are committed to making sure that these beautiful trees continue to grow in Hungary, ensuring every step—from planting to furniture making—stays in Hungarian hands.
Due to the declining yield of the walnut trees that are now over 50 years old, they were replanted on a 25-hectare plot. Even then, the ArtMoon team recognised the value in these trees, and four years ago, they began carefully harvesting them. The beautiful grain, deep rich colour and exceptional durability of walnut makes it the perfect material for crafting premium furniture.
These walnut trees are not only a source of material for us but also symbols of respect for nature and traditional craftsmanship. Each ArtMoon piece of furniture carries the memories of the past and the promises of the future, blending the beauty of nature with the art of craftsmanship.
