It’s something we don’t often think about, but no two trees are the same—just as there are no two pieces of wood with identical grains. As woodworkers, our aim is to transform these truly unique raw materials into something truly one of a kind.
The Sylvio conference table is a perfect example of this. The raw material used is special: the tabletops were crafted from a 150-year-old oak tree recently felled in a mansion garden in Somogy County. During the processing of the wood, we took the two innermost planks to be used as tabletops. Since the two tabletops are essentially twins, the grain patterns and cracks in the planks mirror each other—resulting in a breathtaking conference table that tells a story of the past through every fracture.
Well, this Sylvio table is more than a bespoke, luxury conference table—it’s a piece of the past, transformed into a one-of-a-kind work of art using the most advanced techniques. This table commands respect and not just because it comfortably seats up to eighteen people.
